What We Accept
Spring Items
We accept seasonal, contemporary, pristine, designer and high-end clothing, like new footwear and designer handbags.
Most of our items are contemporary casual items, although we are accepting more evening wear as everything opens up.
We are currently accepting summer items. As it is the end of the season clothing and shoes are likely to discount more quickly than they would at the beginning of the season. Lightweight sweaters (cashmere, cotton and natural fibers always welcome); short sleeve and tank style tops, knit pants that are a good fit and on trend; higher end athletic wear (like Lululemon). We are still leaning toward higher end contemporary (no more than 2 years old) casual items. And always we are looking for fabulous designer handbags.
. We are not accepting dress pants, blazers ,suits or dressy items.
Best selling Brands in addition to the high end designers include Anthropologie, J Crew, Madewell and boutique houses such as Habitat, Comfy and like brands.
How to get ready
-
Gather your items by current season, should be no more than 2 years old
-
Inspect your items for holes, tears, pilling, pet hair, stains and wear. We are looking for pristine items.
-
Do not remove labels from clothing if you plan to consign them. Shoppers are looking for quality brands. Items with no labels will be priced down.
-
Launder or Dry Clean all items you want to consign. Again, please remove all pet hair. Helpful hint: To remove pet hair, run the items through the dryer before washing, the static will help the hair drop off the clothing and into your lint trap. Washing an item with pet hair works the hair into the fiber of the fabric.
-
Have all items likely to wrinkle on hangars. When bringing in bagged items use a flat bottom bag. Plastic and garbage bags will wrinkle even the most resistant. Clothes that show well, sell well. If you’d like to increase your chances to have your items featured on our online store and in social media like Facebook and Instagram — make sure they look as perfect as possible!
-
Suits, mother-of-the bride, prom or bridesmaid dresses, blazers and dress pants do not sell well. The online market is better suited for formal dress wear.
-
Fast fashion -- Zara, Forever 21, The Gap, H&M, The Limited, Express, The Loft, etc. -- doesn't have a high ROI. These brands have wonderful styles but, we again will be VERY selective on what we decide to consign.
